The Arts

PP-Year 6 will participate in classes as per the Western Australian; The Arts Curriculum.

Our Specialist teachers will teach the Arts- Music, Visual Arts and for some students, Drama.

Music

 In Music lessons, Mrs Munyard incorporates Movement and Dance along with Playing and Performing.

Students can join either Junior or Senior choir and take part in a variety of Performance opportunities, ranging from the Rockingham Junior and Senior Music Festivals, visiting Mercycare and regular performances at school events and assemblies.

Visual Arts

Mrs Blair and Mrs Argent offer a range of practical experiences during Visual Arts lessons covering the different elements of Visual Arts. Lessons incorporate a variety of techniques where students can experience working with a variety of resources including clay and textiles.

Students have the chance to take part in a range of Community Art Competitions with ongoing success.

Drama

PP – Year 3 students have the opportunity to develop skills in Voice, Movement, Mime, Character and Scenes within Drama lessons, making connections to Literacy and Talk 4 Write with Mrs Blair.
