Senior Classes

Year 3

Year 4

In Year 3 the students are given more responsibility and start to develop some leadership skills. They have now entered the first year of upper primary schooling. The student further develop their understanding of literacy and numeracy skills. 

In Year 4 the student start to engage more in the wider community through Sporting Carnivals and having the opportunity to sing in the Senior Choir with performance at outside venues. 

This is all support by the continues priority and focused on literacy and numeracy are developed across all learning areas. 

Year 3 Boola Bardip Excursion

Year 3 students visited Boola Bardip as part of their Humanities studies. Students extended their knowledge of the Nyitting (Dreaming) through hands on activities and interaction with museum installations. Students used 

Nyoongar language to describe animals and elements of the daytime and nighttime skies and put their language skills to the test with a game of SNAP! The excursion was invaluable in recognising the diversity among Aboriginal cultures and creation stories within our local community.

Year 5 / 6

In Years 5 and 6, students develop an ability to take positive actions for their wellbeing; they relate to others and communicate well with others; they ask challenging questions and seek answers; they make informed decisions and act responsibly. The development of information and communication technology skills increases across the curriculum at this level.

The Australian Curriculum Year 5/6 students  is designed to develop:

  • successful learners
  • confident and creative individuals
  • active and informed young people who are ready to take their place in society.

It sets the goal for what all students should learn as they progress through their school life – wherever they live in Australia and whatever school they attend.
