Cooloongup Primary School is proud to offer the opportunity
to play music on a regular basis. As part of their weekly routine, each child
from Pre-Primary age takes part in a specialist music class, with a focus on
learning practical skills, working together and some music theory.
The school
is partnered with the Instrumental Music School Services and offers classical
guitar to students who are in year 5 or 6.
Students in year 6 also have the
opportunity to learn an instrument of their choosing including flute, bass
guitar, drums and piano. Our year 3 students are currently learning recorder
and our year 4 and 5 students are learning ukulele.
Cooloongup Primary School’s
Senior Choir often performs both at school and in the community and provides
opportunity for students from year 3 to give back to the community through
music.
