Mini Lit

Some of you may have heard about the Mini Lit Program already. Ms Doman has been working with children for at least a Term now. This program has seen great success in a short time. The children that have been participating on a daily basis have quickly regained their self confidence toward being able to read and write in a short amount of time.

What is Mini Lit?

MiniLit is an evidence-based, explicit and effective early literacy intervention program for teaching, reading skills to children who are lower than the expected range for their age group. Whilst the program is aimed more for children in years 1 and 2,  MiniLit has the ability to help children that are having difficulty in any primary year level. MiniLit is a Tier 2 small group program (up to four students per group) within a Response to Intervention framework, but it can also be used on a one-to-one basis.

Children that are struggling with the concept of reading and spelling

Specifically aimed at struggling Year 1 readers but can be used effectively through all primary years were urgent intervention is needed.
