The Cooloongup School Board has endorsed the following school dress code.
The School has been recognised as a Sunsmart School which means all students must where a broad brimmed hat for all out door activities
What can be worn.
Navy track pants
Faction colour tee-shirts for sports day
Footwear: sneakers, shoes or sandals with ankle straps
Appropriate footwear for sport and physical education
Hat: Bucket hat, legionnaires or wide brimmed hat; “No hat no play” policy is in place all year.
What is not to be worn:
Non-school jackets, parkers, hoodies
(Parkas, coats etc can be worn for protection to and from school on cold days, but need to be removed in class, i.e. children need something warm on underneath on cold days)
Tee shirts with advertising logos or graphics
Jewellery and accessories: Stud or sleeper earrings only. Any jewelry that is worn and lost is not the responsibility of the school. Your child may be asked to remove it for safe keeping.
Thongs, sandals without ankle straps
No nail polish or makeup
NO DENIM is to be worn at school.
All students will wear school uniform
For safety reasons all students leaving school on excursions will wear uniform.
Parents will support the Dress Code
All Student Councillors and elected student helpers will wear school uniform.
Parents who have difficulty in supplying appropriate clothes can access the second hand clothing that is available at the school.
Uniform shop is open every Friday morning from 8:30-10am.

Wearing of Sun Hats
Because of the dangers of skin cancer, children participating in any school activity where they are exposed to the sun, must wear approved sun hats. All year, children who are not wearing hats must remain under a verandah during recess lunch, sport and physical education times. Please ensure that hats are clearly labeled with the child’s name.
Sharing of hats is not encouraged.
